Perth Wildcats extraordinary run of injuries throughout their grand final campaign has failed to ease and they will be without Clint Steindl and Luke Travers for game two against Melbourne at RAC Arena today.
Steindl and Travers will be watching from the sidelines alongside NBL MVP Bryce Cotton after failing to prove their fitness today.
Travers sat out game one with a calf injury and the extra time between games wasn’t enough to have him declared fit.
Steindl hurt his groin in the first half on Friday night and couldn’t return to the court.
Perth must now play with a severely undermanned team today and hope they will be available for game three in Melbourne on Friday night.
They will now rely on their bench players and youngsters to have a massive impact after losing the opening game of the best of five series.
